About Us

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) brings the community and farmers together to share in a mutually beneficial relationship. CSA is a food subscription service that provides you with a weekly supply of high-quality, locally grown, great tasting, and seasonally fresh food at an affordable price. Members purchase a share at the beginning of the season, which gives local farmers important early support for seeds, greenhouse and farm supplies, and labor.

At Local Harvest CSA, all your food is certified organically grown, delivered straight from six local farms, and picked less than 24 hours before finding its way into your grocery bag. Our farms are:

Kearsarge Gore Farm, Warner NH
Stone Ridge Farm, Bradford NH
Middle Branch Farm, New Boston NH
Vegetable Ranch, Warner NH

Blue Ox Farm, Enfield NH
Good Earth Farm, Weare NH

All our produce is certified organic. That means we use sustainable practices which build the health of the soil and promote biodiversity, leaving a legacy of true wealth for the future. Organic certification is your assurance that your food has been grown and handled with the strict standards and procedures of the USDA’s National Organic Program.

The variety and selection of vegetables available in each share will change or increase as each season reaches its peak. Our multi-farm CSA allows each farm to grow a variety of produce and provide a diverse yet consistent selection to our CSA members. We strive to provide you a balanced mix of new-to-you as well as tried-and-true favorite vegetables and fruits. Check out the vegetable chart for the types of produce in season throughout the year and times of availability. Any unclaimed shares will be donated to The Friendly Kitchen, which serves meals to those in need of food support.

Along with enjoying good food, you:

● Know the farm where your food comes from and the farmer who grew it.

● Nurture the environment when you purchase from certified organic farms.

● Support the local economy by keeping food dollars in NH. Local farms have a local economic multiplier of approximately two dollars for every dollar of food purchased.

● Reduce the amount of fossil fuels used to bring food to your table by 50% (through reducing the number of miles your food travels and supporting organic agriculture which is less energy intensive).

There are about 1,000 CSAs in the United States, with many New Hampshire communities already participating. Our farmers have a combined 130 years of farming experience. We think you’ll find that Local Harvest CSA supports your own wishes for seasonally ripe, local, delicious, organic, and nutritionally sound foods!
